Stryten Energy, global industry experts in advanced energy storage technologies, has announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire C&D Technologies, Inc. and Trojan Battery Company, LLC, creating an expanded global platform serving transportation, industrial, essential power, military and government markets. The acquisition will bring together complementary lead- and lithium-based battery technologies serving a broad range of critical applications. These include automotive, heavy-duty transportation, marine, recreational vehicles and low-speed electric vehicles; artificial intelligence and data centers; uninterruptible power supplies, telecommunications, utilities and grid infrastructure; material handling, mining, rail, floor care and aerial work platforms; and military and government systems.

The transaction is expected to close during the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Financial terms were not disclosed. Upon completion, the combined organization will continue to be led by Stryten Energy Chief Executive Officer and President Mike Judd.  Noted Judd, “This combination brings together two highly complementary organizations with a shared commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance energy storage solutions. Stryten Energy has signed a definitive agreement to acquire C&D Technologies and Trojan Battery Company, expanding its domestic manufacturing footprint and global energy storage portfolio.

Following the transaction, Stryten Energy will operate 15 battery manufacturing and component facilities across the United States, supported by approximately 3,700 employees. The expanded domestic footprint will strengthen its vertically integrated supply chain and ability to manufacture energy storage technologies at scale. 

Stryten also plans to increase its Absorbent Glass Mat battery production capacity to support growing demand for advanced lead batteries used in hybrid and start-stop vehicles, as well as data center and telecommunications resiliency applications. The combined organization will also have manufacturing operations in Mexico and China, U.S.-based research and development facilities, and offices throughout Europe and Asia, extending its ability to support customers worldwide.

The added scale, broader technology portfolio and expanded domestic manufacturing capabilities will also strengthen Stryten Energy’s support of U.S. military programs and other mission-critical infrastructure requiring domestically produced energy storage solutions.
