This collaboration aims to revolutionize the production of batteries by reducing costs, improving performance, and minimizing environmental impact.
The global lithium-ion battery market is expanding rapidly, driven by demand across multiple industries including consumer electronics, automotive applications such as plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and large-scale industrial and residential energy storage systems.
As investments in battery manufacturing facilities grow, so too does the need to cut costs, lower energy consumption, and reduce environmental impact. Traditional manufacturing processes often rely on organic solvents and contribute significantly to CO2 emissions, prompting the industry to seek sustainable alternatives.
