A2MAC1, global industry experts in automotive benchmarking, teardown analysis, and vehicle technology intelligence, has announced a strategic collaboration with ZeBeyond to introduce a simulation-first benchmarking platform for electric powertrains.

The new approach is designed to enable OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers to validate vehicle efficiency and performance within days, compared to traditional teardown and dynamometer testing processes that can take more than a year.

A2MAC1 and ZeBeyond are collaborating on a simulation-first platform to accelerate benchmarking and validation of electric powertrain efficiency and performance.

As automakers accelerate the development of next-generation electric vehicles, physical testing is increasingly a bottleneck. By combining A2MAC1’s teardown intelligence with ZeBeyond’s ePOP simulation environment, the collaboration aims to deliver a faster, data-verified pathway to powertrain insights earlier in the vehicle development lifecycle.

“By combining A2MAC1’s teardown intelligence with ZeBeyond’s ePOP simulation environment, we enable engineering teams to make confident, data-driven decisions weeks after a new vehicle’s release rather than a year later,” says Wiktor Dotter, CEO of ZeBeyond.

Jasmino Burkic, CRO at A2MAC1, adds: “A2MAC1’s mission has always been to enable deeper understanding of vehicle technologies. Partnering with ZeBeyond allows us to enrich our database with virtual validation capabilities–bridging the gap between teardown analysis and real-world performance.”

The collaboration integrates A2MAC1’s xEV powertrain database, which spans more than 150 vehicles, with ZeBeyond’s ePOP virtual validation tools. Together, the companies are creating a digital library of powertrain efficiency and performance assets that can be made available within weeks of a teardown rather than months or years.

By shifting benchmarking and validation activities into a simulation-first workflow, the partners aim to support faster, data-driven decision-making during electric powertrain development. The approach establishes a new reference point for rapid evaluation of powertrain architectures, efficiency trade-offs, and performance characteristics as EV programs continue to evolve.
